Red Wedding Dress

I was wondering if it’s ok to wear a different color other than white for your wedding dress? I want to wear red and my husband-to-be doesn't understand... what should I do?

Our Thoughts

Well, the first thing to do is not tell your fiancé a single detail about your wedding dress from here on out! How you look on your wedding day should be something that surprises your soon to be husband on the day of your wedding.

Today's wedding gowns come in so many color choices, as you already know. Gown colors range from traditional white and candlelight ivory to charcoal gray, soft pinks and reds.

My wedding gown was ivory with deep red and gold silk accents which was so fantastic! I will let you in on a little secret too, I did not share any details about the gown with my husband. I just made sure his formal wear matched.

So, please go and choose the gown of your dreams. This will hopefully be the only time you will walk down the aisle, and you do not want to look back in photos and regret not following your heart.

A final thought for you to think about is that in ancient China it was considered good luck to be married in red and this still holds true today. Paint the town red, girlfriend!

Danielle

Red Wedding Dress Question

My fiancé and I got married the end of February at the justice of the peace. We are having a public wedding ceremony September.

Is it appropriate to wear a red wedding dress since I am already married?

Our Thoughts

Congratulations to you both on your recent wedding nuptials.

When it comes to your wedding gown, you can wear what ever makes you feel beautiful and fulfilled as a bride because you are the bride.

Since you are already married, in this situation you can most definitely wear what ever color gown you would like. Recently wedding dresses have been introduced in golds, platinum, pink and even reds.

So I say paint the town Red in your Red wedding dress and enjoy every minute!

Regards,
Danielle
