Father of the Bride Toast

Is it customary for the father of the bride to give a toast at the reception? It's the 2nd marriage for both and they paid for the wedding?

Our Thoughts

Although a toast is not a requirement in this situation, it is certainly more common these days and would be a wonderful gesture from you to the couple.

Our best advice when it comes to wedding speeches and toasts is to try to say something honest and from the heart and do your best to keep it under three minutes.

Short and simple is always the best way to go.
