We had our family spread the word for us. Yes, we did however get a few random gifts, but it worked out pretty well.

Money Instead of Gifts

Hello

We are actually going to do the same at our wedding as we have been together for a long time and would prefer to receive money to go towards our honeymoon rather than gifts.

We are going to have a wishing well.

It is a small well, or you can have a treasure box which will sit on the gift table.

I have written a small poem and added it in with my invitations asking people to give money instead of gifts if they want to.

If you type in wishing well poems on the net there are a lot of great ideas.
