Tip of the Month

Always ask wedding vendors for references. Even if you think they are reputable, get two or three names that you can call for verification. This can save you a lot of grief and heartache later on.

Bridal Q & A

This month's question is from Debra who writes:

"Do you give your wedding planner a gift? I am using a wedding/event planner for my 13th anniversary party."

Dear Debra,

It's always a nice idea to recognize wedding vendors that do a really great job. Wedding planners are usually very involved with all aspects of your event, and many brides become very close with their planners.

In your case, if you feel your event planner did an exceptional job and you were happy with his or her services you should give them a gift. The gift can be monetary in the form of a tip, or it could be a nice flower arrangement. Be sure to include a card letting them know you appreciate all of their effort.

To your wedding! Danielle & Stephen
