Wedding Thank You Notes Etiquette

I was married on November 26, 2010. We were waiting for our wedding pictures to come back from the photographer to send out thank you cards, and we are wondering if we can pre-print a general thank you note to all guests.

Does it have to be personalized with a specific thank you to each person who sent a wedding gift or card?

Dear Maggie,

I have had similar questions asked in the past and the answer will always be the same; yes, you should take the time to personally thank each and every guests who gave you a wedding gift or a card.

I know it can be time consuming, but you have to remember that all of your guests specifically went out and bought you a wedding gift or gave you cash to help you start your new life together.
