Wedding Reception Decorations

My wedding venue has a lot of windows! I want to do some kind of decoration with them without blocking the view of the golf course. My colors are sunset, red and orange.

Your wedding reception space is very lovely, and I would agree as a wedding planner to definitely not block the view of the course and the beautiful natural light of the space.

I cannot tell by the photo if there is enough of a ledge to hold some type of candle votive, but if so, I would add lots of candlelight for the evening cross over if in fact your event goes into the night.

You could add swags of florals and ribbon appropriate to your event and theme on the sills as well. You can wrap the exposed beams with florals or vine with ribbon as well to help add color to the space.

Unfortunately you did not share with me if this space shown is just for cocktail or if it also will be used for the reception. But either way, remember that by using a higher quality linen on the tables, something with texture with a centerpiece will add so much color to the room that decorating the windows would be over kill.

I have looked everywhere for an answer to this, maybe I'm the only one who is lost, but who sets up the wedding reception area?

The venue said they will set up any decor that I may have, so I'm guessing I bring them all put together and they will set it up. What about the church? Sorry I'm just wondering how it goes from an idea to actually being put in place.

When it comes to planning your wedding everything can be very overwhelming, especially if this is your first trip down the isle. So, let's try and get you started.

Typically your wedding reception staff can execute your reception decor. This typically includes your event tables, chairs, seating cards, favors, money collection box - just about anything that you want to make happen within your reception your captain should take care of.

Your church set-up is another matter. Over the years I have encountered a couple churches that have a "wedding planner" which simply would be someone to help execute your decoration ideas, as well as, assist you getting down the isle.

Some churches will offer no assistance in this area which then you will have to choose some close friends or family wisely to help you obtain the look you want for your wedding ceremony.

It might also be a good idea to hire a wedding planner to help with decorating your ceremony and wedding reception. A planner can be an essential part of making your day come together, and she can also help to relieve a lot of stress.

I would strongly suggest that you or your groom NOT to do this on your BIG day. There is enough you will be doing and worrying about that day that decorating your ceremony site should not be on the list.
