Wedding Party

We are having our wedding in a gorgeous garden in a rotunda. The celebrant has said that we could stand up in the rotunda, but I am worried about where the bridesmaids should stand.

I thought maybe my partner and I could stand on the top step and the others can work there way down the stairs but not sure. Does anyone have any advice they could give me?

Our Thoughts

Standing at the top with your wedding party on the steps can work really well, but there are a few things to consider.

First, how many bridesmaids are in your party? Will they fit on the steps?

Second, where are your guests going to be seated? Will the bridesmaids block their view?

Third, where will your celebrant stand? Will your backs be facing your guests if you stand at the top and face the celebrant?

If your guests are going to be at the bottom of the steps, one option that we have seen is for the celebrant to stand on the steps as well. This allows you to face your guests while you say your vows standing at the top of the rotunda.

Your wedding sounds like it will be beautiful! We would love to see a photo of the rotunda and your wedding day once it comes. Let us know if you would like to be a featured bride on our site!

To Your Wedding!
