Wedding Invitation Etiquette

I know it is proper etiquette for the return address on the RSVP card to go the bride's parent’s address. I am getting married in the town I live in. My mom has passed away, and my dad lives 2 hours away from me. I was wondering if it is ok to have the RSVP cards mailed to my address? Can they be mailed to my future in-law's address? They live in the same town as the wedding.

Our Thoughts

Kristy,
It is perfectly OK to have the RSVP cards mailed to your address. If you are close with your in-laws and would feel better about having them mailed to their address, then that is OK as well.

Typically, the RSVP cards are mailed to whoever is paying for the wedding. This is to make it easier for them to keep track of how many guests are planning to attend.

To your wedding!
