Summer Wedding Theme Colors

by Ashley
(Berclair, Texas)

My fiancé and I are having a small orange and yellow wedding in the summer of 2011, and we are having the reception in the back of his house.

Its mid size, and I just don't know how to decorate it or anything. I need help with planning my wedding reception.

Our Thoughts

Dear Ashley,

Your wedding colors sound just wonderful and so summer! Congratulations.

An easy way to use your wedding colors in your reception is by putting some of your budget towards deep orange and bright yellow linens for your guest tables. This small detail adds a world of color to your wedding day.

Start by going to a local wedding rental company. Not only can they help you with the rentals (assuming you will need tables, chairs, etc.), they typically have a coordinator that can help you with choosing linens that match your overall wedding theme and colors.

Also, concentrate on floral arrangements that include your colors, and make sure you incorporate a bunch of white and ivory shaded florals so that your table linens stand out.

Lastly, if your fiancé’s home has a sufficient amount of trees in the back yard, go and buy some paper lanterns in your wedding color theme. Buy LED lights to hang in the lanterns, and as it becomes dark out the romantic glow will get all your guests attention.

Remember, it is the little details that often count the most. For more ideas visit our wedding theme and wedding reception pages.

Regards,
Danielle
