Paying For Wedding Flowers

What flowers is the groom responsible for besides the wedding bouquet?

Our Thoughts

In most wedding's today the bridal couple is footing most of the bill for wedding flowers in comparison of yesteryear where the traditional role would be the bride's parents picked up most of the wedding event tab and the groom was responsible for the flowers.

With that said, if you are going the traditional route, the groom would pick up all of the "church service" or "wedding ceremony" florals - the bridal bouquets (including the bridesmaids), the boutonnieres, the church arrangements and anyone special to the couple who deserves to be decorated and honored that day (moms, dads, grandparents, readers etc.).

The wedding flowers for the main reception however would be included on the bride's parent’s bill.

Remember that if you decide to give flowers to one side of the family, make sure you do so for the other side. We have witnessed many hurt feelings at weddings when (mistake or no mistake) someone is left out. It is a special day and everyone loves to be included.
