Gangster Wedding Theme

My fiancé wants a 1920s gangster style wedding and I want a country/sunflower theme. If we were vintage dresses and gangster style tuxes do we have to incorporate 1920s decorations.

I would like to somehow merge the two. Help please!

I think that you are on the correct path already with wearing the 1920’s style vintage dresses with a long stand of pearls for the dames along with the so called “Zoot Suit” tuxes for the men will definitely get the feel of the theme without being “tacky”.

Your invitations can have a 20’s vintage feel to them to set the mood for the event maybe in a CIBA toned look (old time photo style). You can incorporate the sunflowers into your bridal & bridesmaids bouquets.

It would be a gas if you brought in an Old Time photo booth at the reception and used the photos in a guest book where your friends and family can write their whimsical quotes to you right there on the spot.

Or even have a “Cigarette Girl” walking around serving Bubble Gum or Chocolate Play Cigarettes through out the evening! Enjoy and just run with it!
