Father Of The Bride Toast

Does the father of the bride typically toast the bride or couple?

I am walking me niece down the aisle, her father passed away. I am wondering if I should offer a toast to the couple or the bride.

Also, I would like to offer a toast to her father's (my brother) memory.

Our Thoughts

Each wedding is very different these days, but traditionally the father of the bride would toast to both his daughter and to his new son-in-law. So it would be very fitting and very lovely to toast to them both, as well as, to your brother's memory.

I am sure that he will be smiling down on the event. Just remember to have a couple tissues on hand as this will most likely be an emotional moment for both your niece and for you.
