Choosing A Wedding Date

Should the bride and groom collaborate with the families to see if the wedding date suits everyone or not?

Our Thoughts

Dear Sharon,

While it is a nice gesture to consider the schedules of those attending your wedding, in the end you have to choose a date which works best for you and your fiancé. One thing to keep in mind is that regardless of the wedding date you choose, there may be some people that are unable to attend.

If you have a select number of very close family and friends (i.e. – grandparents, parents, siblings, etc.) that are special to you and you must have them at your wedding, then check with them on the date. But, keep this number small or you will drive yourself crazy trying to plan your wedding around everyone else’s schedule.

Regards,
Danielle
