If you gave a Wedding Shower gift is it expected to also give a gift at the wedding?

Yes, a wedding shower gift and a wedding gift should be handled as two different things. If you are attending the wedding, plan on giving the couple a gift in addition to any gifts you gave at the bridal shower.

One thing to keep in mind is that you technically have up to a year after the wedding to give the couple a gift according to etiquette. So, if money is tight right now, give the couple a nice card on their wedding day, and let them know that a gift will be following soon.
