Bridal Party Wedding Invitation Etiquette

What is the etiquette for inviting parents of the bridal party if you don't know them or haven’t ever met them?

Our Thoughts

Dear Susan,

If I am reading your question correctly, and I apologize if I am off base, but there is no wedding etiquette for inviting parents of the bridal party.

If you or your husband knows the parents of your bridal party members and you would like to invite them to the event, then you would formally invite them to the wedding event by way of a formal wedding invitation.

If you do not know the parents of your bridal party members, then simply do not invite them.

If you are like many other couples, you already have a lengthy guest list full of close friends and family that you truly want to be with you on your big day. Keep yourself within your wedding budget by not inviting people that you don’t know.

Have a wonderful wedding day!

Regards,
Danielle
