Here are some ideas:
- Gold or copper dipped leaves are an elegant choice for the autumn season.
- Autumn is apple and pear season. There are many "perfect-pear" favors like candles and place card holders. Candy apples are fun, and there are many other apple-themed favors to choose from.
- Fall is harvest season, and wine is a great option. Wine bottles with personalized logos make a great fall wedding favor.
Other options include wine charms, crystal or silver bottle stoppers and cork screws.
- Carved pumpkins are very festive for the fall season. Carve small, wedding-themed pumpkins, put small votive candles in them and place them on the tables at the reception. Enlist family and friends to help carve. Giving one pumpkin per couple cuts down on the work.
- In many areas autumn means the weather is starting to get colder. Give your guests hot cocoa, tea or coffee to help get them ready for the winter ahead. There are many options for the packaging including decorative bags and boxes.
- Apple or pumpkin tarts or mini pies are available at many bakeries, or you could bake them yourself if you have some extra time before the wedding (yeah right!). Many bakeries will even package them for you in decorative boxes with ribbon.
- Small bottles filled with maple syrup are another option. Many places will even custom engrave the bottles for you.
- Tree seedlings or seed packets are a nice alternative. You can grow the seedlings yourself in small pots, or the Arbor Day Foundation has gift trees available.
